Social Security Trivia

We have to admit, our line of business has turned us into geeks who love trivia related to the Social Security Administration.

For instance, the first Social Security card is thought to be issued to John David Sweeney in November of 1936.  Sadly, Mr. Sweeney died in 1974 of a heart attack at the age of 61 and was never able to collect his Social Security benefits.  However, the benefits were available to support his widow after his death.

Also, the Social Security Administration provides statistics on the most popular baby names in America.  In 2018 Liam was the most popular boy name and Emma was the most popular name for girls.

Did you know that the Social Security Act was signed into law by President Roosevelt on August 14, 1935?

Social Security isn’t always the most exciting and fun topic, however at Match Disability Law we love what we do! We find the ways to make it interesting, informative, and protecting you and your family.
